1500 hours of painstakingly putting all those Lego blocks together and taking shots of them have created this enjoyable piece of 8Bit Lego art. Created by the Swedish duo Rymdreglage. Tomas Redigh created the animation and it's combined with a nice original chiptune composition by Daniel Larsson.
You will spot some memorable images of the C64 version IK+ Karate Characters, a rotozoomer effect, some pong loving, Mario and pac-man.

Super AI Mario
At the Mario AI competition programmers are creating artificial intelligence to guide Mario through the levels. As you can see from the video below this can result in some speedy time-runs.
The competition is based on a heavily modified version of the Infinite Mario Bros game by Markus Persson. That game is an all-Java tribute to the Nintendo's seminal Super Mario Bros game, with the added benefit of endless random level generation.

PS3 Slim is official

This is it. The first official pic of the new PS3 Slim. In a move that surprised absolutely no one, Sony went ahead and officially announced the PS3 Slim at their Gamescom Press Conference in Germany today. Kaz Hirai took the stage to show it off, and stated that it would launch worldwide the first week of September. It’s smaller and lighter than the current PS3, but has all the same features.
PS3 Slim available from Kmart at 24-08-2009

It is believed that tonight Sony will make some big announcements regarding the launch of a PS3 Slim edition, and a price-cut to €/$299,-.
Kmart is advertising with a pre-order campaign suggesting that 'The rumors are reality'.
In addition, Kotaku claims to have received a promotional poster meant for retailer FYE. It also suggests that the 80GB PlayStation 3 will have its price reduced to $299.99, while the Uncharted 160GB bundle will be trimmed to $399.99.
Makes me wonder what Microsoft is going to do to keep up. With UK retailers increasing price of Xbox 360 Arcade from £129.99 to £159.99 to keep up with the poor exchange rate of the pound compared to the Euro. This won't work in their favor.
Is a slim Xbox360 around the corner?

LittleBigXbox???
When you watch the latest Xbox commercial below it might give you a bit of a LittleBigPlanet feeling. It's the music ofcourse that is you probably would associate with LBP. But before you start yelling 'Rip off' you might like to know it's a song from The Go! Team.
The Go! Team is a six piece band from Brighton, England founded by Ian Parton. The song is called 'Get It Together'.
In the video below you can see the entire band singing another of their songs 'Doing It Right'. You can hear the same kind of cheerful melody in this song. Enjoy!
